Looking for a rehearsal space? There’s a solution for freelance performing artists: the Rehearsal Space Platform by the Berlin State Association for the Independent Performing Arts e.V. (LAFT). Through the website, you can search for, offer, and book rehearsal spaces. Kasia Wojcik explains all the important information.

Kasia Wojcik is a staff member of the project management team at FAIRSTAGE. This model project is an initiative by Diversity Arts Culture, ensemble-netzwerk, and the Landesverband freie darstellende Künste (LAFT Berlin), and is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Coheason. With the help of the Rehearsal Space Platform, a project by LAFT Berlin, rehearsal spaces in and around Berlin can be searched for, offered, and booked. Kasia Wojcik is a curator, dramaturg, and author. As part of the production company "IIPM / Milo Rau," she contributed to "General Assembly" and "The New Gospel" (2019-2021) and was the lead curator of the award-winning discourse format "School of Resistance" (2020-2022).

Katharina von Wilcke is a curator, juror, producer, lecturer, and consultant specializing in artistic and cultural affairs. In 1995, she founded DepArtment, the first production office for Performing Arts in Hamburg. She was a project manager at international festivals and co-led four editions of the Dance Congress (2006 - 2016) on behalf of the German Federal Cultural Foundation. In recent years, she has been focused more on sustainability issues in cultural operations, generating new audiences, and developing special discussion formats.

Stéphane Bauer has been leading the municipal gallery Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien since 2002. He has been curating exhibitions since 1997. From the winter semester of 2008/09 to 2016/17, Stéphane Bauer held a teaching position in curatorial practice at the Institute for Art in Context at the University of the Arts (UdK) Berlin. From 2008 to 2018, he was a member of the Berlin Arts Council.

Julia Brodauf and Lennart Siebert have been the Studio Commissioners for Berlin since 2024. They manage the Studio Office at the kulturwerk of the bbk berlin, which is tasked with preserving and developing subsidized studios for the visual arts, as well as providing advice to artists. The studio rental program is part of the Senate Department for Culture's workspace program. Julia brings extensive knowledge from her work as an artist, author, and lecturer at art academies. Lennart is a cultural manager and an expert in the field of public-interest-oriented cultural and real estate policy.
