Program description
The Schöppingen Artists' Village Foundation supports international artists through an interdisciplinary residency program for professional visual artists, authors and composers. The program is open to people of all nationalities and ages.
The scholarships amount to €1,500 per month, minus around €100 to €200 for rent and running costs. The scholarship for collectives is € 1,000 per person, up to a maximum of € 3,000 less rent and operating costs.
Travel, insurance and material costs will only be covered in exceptional cases (please contact us if you are awarded a scholarship).
The scholarship is designed as a residency scholarship; for the duration of the scholarship, residency in the artists' village is compulsory.
The premises and infrastructure of the artists' village can be used during the stay. The scholarship is not designed as a production scholarship and there is no obligation to present work results. However, there is the possibility of using exhibition and presentation opportunities, subject to agreement and availability.
In addition, the foundation welcomes voluntary participation in events in the form of lectures, readings, workshops, etc.
In line with the profile and program of the artists' village, a willingness to participate in events, collegial exchange and committed cooperation is required.
