The Herbert Funke Foundation can provide funding worldwide.
In all areas of support, priority is given to projects that are of a non-profit and public welfare nature. The target group in all projects is the visually impaired and blind people.
The goal is to sustainably improve the situation of visually impaired people in all areas of support.
The Herbert Funke Foundation supports projects in the following areas:

Herbert Funke-Stiftung
Die Herbert Funke-Stiftung sieht ihre zentrale Aufgabe in der Förderung von bürgerschaftlichem und ehrenamtlichem Engagement. Sie dient nicht dem Zweck, die Löcher öffentlicher Kassen zu füllen. In allen Förderbereichen (Gesundheit, Wissenschaft, Kunst/Kultur, Bedürftige) setzt sich die Herbert Funke-Stiftung nachhaltig für die Verbesserung der sozialen, gesundheitlichen und kulturellen Lebenssituation sehbehinderter und blinder Menschen ein. Das Ziel ist, in allen Förderbereichen (Gesundheit, Wissenschaft, Kunst/Kultur, Bedürftige) nachhaltig für die Verbesserung der Situation sehbehinderter Menschen Sorge zu tragen.

Applications for funding can be submitted informally at any time, but should always include a detailed cost and financing plan, a project description and a time schedule for projects. Any parallel applications to other foundations and/or (partial) commitments already made must always be mentioned. When applying for aids for needy visually impaired and blind people, the funds are transferred exclusively to the respective supplier companies in the case of a promised grant.
For applications from needy, visually impaired or blind people, it is necessary to fill out the questionnaire for applicants*in . For this purpose, appropriate current supporting documents (proof of income, etc.) must be attached to the information provided. In addition, a current ophthalmological certificate (not older than 3 months) on the degree of visual impairment / the restriction of the visual field must be submitted.
Jury/Decision-making body
The board of the Herbert Funke Foundation usually decides on a funding application within 4 weeks.
