Institution
Sebastian Cobler Foundation for Civil Rights
The foundation named after the criminal defense lawyer and publicist Dr. Sebastian Cobler is to act in a republican spirit. In the spirit of its namesake, it is to defend civil rights, as they were written by the mothers and fathers of the Basic Law and as they are also enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights, and to be committed to them. In the interest of the protection of fundamental rights, it is tasked with defending the self-restraint of the constitutional state vis-à-vis the citizens and intervening where state power attempts to curtail the constitutional state. The associated tasks also include defending the right of all citizens to decide for themselves on the use of their data.
