Funding criteria
Funding is available for projects that are initiated as local alliances by at least three partners and are aimed at disadvantaged children and young people. The core of the alliances within the framework of "tanz + theater machen stark" is a professional partnership between a theater and an educational institution.
All alliance partners must be legal entities (association, public or private institution, GbR, GmbH, etc.).
The alliance itself does not receive any funding for its work, but passes it on to the specialists commissioned by the alliance or spends it on project costs.
The program is aimed at disadvantaged children and young people between the ages of 3 and 18. Reaching this target group is the central task of the program. In principle, the projects are open to all children and young people, but the majority of participants should belong to the program's target group. The decision as to whether to work in age-specific or mixed-age groups is the responsibility of the local alliance and depends on the individual local requirements. These should be described in the project outline.
There is full funding for projects in this program, which cannot be combined.
Additional conditions
"tanz + theater machen stark" has set two special
program priorities in the third funding phase:
- Rural areas
- Municipal educational landscapes
The cooperation agreement is part of the application for a project within the framework of "tanz +theater machen stark" and must be submitted with the project outline. At the time of application, it represents a declaration of intent in which all alliance partners define their roles in the project. The cooperation agreement should also specify which alliance partner will contribute which services and which infrastructure to the project free of charge.
The applicant undertakes to treat all participants in a sensitive, non-discriminatory and respectful manner and to adopt a child protection-oriented approach. The recipient of the final grant shall also include this commitment in the cooperation agreement with its alliance partners. By inspecting the extended certificate of good conduct, basic protection against sexualized violence can be guaranteed for the children and young people participating in the project.
- Full-time staff (staff employed by the applicant in the project who have contact with children and young people, as well as full-time self-employed freelancers), including volunteers, must always submit an extended certificate of good conduct if they are of legal age and there is no one-off case of substitution.
- In alliances in which at least one alliance partner has concluded an agreement with a local youth welfare office or applies a qualified protection concept, this should also apply to the entire alliance.
