Program description
Groups of between three and fourteen adult participants from the fields of literature, visual arts, composition, and other cultural fields, especially the performing arts (theater, dance, performance), as well as groups such as think tanks, graduate programs, and others that deal with questions of aesthetics or topics related to the Romantic era and the German-German mindset in the broadest sense. think tanks, research training groups, and others dealing with questions of aesthetics or topics related to the epoch and mindset of Romanticism and German-German issues in the broadest sense, may apply for a stay of up to four weeks during the months of March through November each year.
In addition, the Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf can invite specific groups for a stay.
Groups engaged in sports or other recreational activities or formations such as ensembles, orchestras and bands seeking a venue for musical rehearsals are not eligible to apply. In case of future soundproofing of rooms or buildings of the property, the possibility of admitting also musical formations will be considered.
Group scholarships include free lodging for all group members in one of the rooms on the estate each and daily meals with three meals.
A total of 14 rooms are available for participants of group fellowships. There are also working spaces (3 meeting rooms: 129 sqm, 128 sqm and 60 sqm), additional studios if needed, and a hall (140 sqm) with underfloor heating and AV technology on the premises. Catering with three meals takes place in the dining rooms in the castle. Other rooms as well as the gardens are available for general use by all those present. Visits by guests or family members must be arranged in advance with the management. Catering for guests and family members is subject to a charge. Visits with children are not possible within the framework of group scholarships. On weekends, the museum and a café operation in the orangery are open to the public.

The Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf is an organization for the cultivation of art, culture and science through an interdisciplinary and international residency program.
It awards grants to individual artists and scientists as well as to groups from the cultural and academic field. It organizes programs with fellows, guests and partners for the general public as well as for experts in-house and with and at partner organizations.
At the same time, it commemorates the history of the house with a topical focus through exhibitions and programmes on the epoch and mindset of Romanticism as well as on German-German history.
The Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf sees itself as part of the cultural landscape of Brandenburg, strengthening democratic civil society structures through debate, commitment and mediation. The foundation pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes.
