Program description

Are you looking for work with purpose and ready to tackle the most pressing challenges of our time? As an Associate at On Purpose, you will join a community of like-minded people who want to reshape the economy together. The one-year full-time program offers you the opportunity to develop personally and professionally and to gain and build your first experience and contacts in the social-ecological field.

Projects: During the year, you will work independently and project-based in two different partner organizations and gain practical experience. In the organizations, you will work 32 hours a week on socio-ecologically relevant projects and at the same time learn more about impact-driven business and the underlying business models and organizational structures.

Further training: Every Friday afternoon, experts share their knowledge and experience with you on topics relating to impact, leadership and systemic change. The trainers come from the field - from social entrepreneurs and impact investors to strategy experts. In addition, you will be accompanied by a personal coach and mentor and become part of an international community of more than 800 Associates and Fellows and over 400 partner organizations.

With the Associate Program you will receive:

• 2 x 6 months of meaningful work experience
• 280+ hours of coaching, mentoring and workshops
• 23,000 € financial support per year: Scholarship; paid out by the partner organizations as a salary subject to social insurance contributions (gross employee salary)

The associate program also gives you the chance to rewrite your career and try things out. The training and further education program not only provides you with important know-how that you can integrate and test directly in your partner organization, but also gives you access to a broad network of social entrepreneurs. In addition to an annual salary of €23,000, On Purpose provides you with social capital for your professional start in the social enterprise sector.

Funding criteria

Eligibility requirements:

• Professional experience equivalent to at least two years of full-time work (excluding apprenticeships, internships, traineeships and traineeships)
• University degree or comparable qualifications
• very good written and spoken German and English skills
• a valid work permit for Germany for the entire duration of the program (On Purpose cannot issue work visas for the program)

On Purpose is looking for people who have the potential to become leaders in the social enterprise sector - candidates from the private sector as well as candidates from other sectors have this potential.

Additional conditions

Application procedure/documents

1. Online application: Submit your application consisting of a CV, letter of motivation and video.
2. Interviews: If your application is convincing, you will be invited to an interview - a case study and personal interviews.
3. Program start: You will receive feedback within 1-2 weeks after the interviews. If you are accepted, you will receive an offer for the new cohort.
