Program description

The Mecklenburgische Künstlerhaus Schloss Plüschow awards three-month working scholarships. The scholarship is linked to a working stay at Schloss Plüschow during this period. In the castle there are five guest studios of approx. 80 -100 sqm, each consisting of a workroom and a living room. In addition, an etching workshop and access to the Internet are available for the artists' work.

When planning a new use for Schloss Plüschow after the reunification of Germany in 1990, the aim was to create an institution for the promotion of modern artists, to save the listed building from decay and to put it to a more sensible use. With this aim in mind, the Förderkreis Schloss Plüschow e.V. was founded in May 1990, thus becoming the sponsor of the project "Mecklenburgisches Künstlerhaus Schloss Plüschow".

Funding criteria

Three-month working scholarship in the period October to December There are five guest studios in the castle in the size of approx. 80 -100 sqm each consisting of a spacious working room and a living room. The amount of the scholarship is 1,000 € per month, minus energy and telephone costs.

The following documents must be submitted for the application:

• Completed application form.
• Curriculum vitae with artistic career,
• Work samples in printed form (max. size 30 × 21 cm), maximum 20 pages, catalogues (only individual catalogues), video material please on DVD.
